Registration, learning, practice and participation in teaching sessions
| Document | Scope |
|---|---|
| General User Guide | Based on the service as of 8 October 2026 • Version v2 |
| Language | English |
| Audience | Registered students and individual users |
This guide is for users who register independently. Partner and educator operations requiring additional permissions are covered in the Partner Handbook; detailed instructions for individual modules are provided in their own guides.
1. Pharm.academy at a glance
Pharm.academy is a multilingual learning platform for pharmacy and the health sciences. Registered users can practise questions by topic, receive immediate feedback, report errors in questions and help expand the question bank by submitting their own suggestions.
2. Registration and account activation
- Open the registration page and enter the requested account and profile details.
- Select your country, university and faculty if they are available in the lists.
- Read and accept the Terms of Use, and confirm that you have read the Privacy Notice.
- Submit your registration, then open the activation link sent by email.
- After activation, log in and check your profile.
Logging in and forgotten passwords
For English, register at https://pharm.academy/register/ and log in at https://pharm.academy/login/. If you forget your password, use https://pharm.academy/password-reset/ and follow the instructions sent by email.
Bot protection on forms
The Cloudflare Turnstile check runs within the form; it is not a login check that redirects you to a separate Cloudflare page. If it asks you to interact, complete the check before submitting. Its language may follow your browser language and therefore differ from the language selected on the website. If the check does not load, check your internet connection and whether your browser allows the page's necessary scripts to run.
3. Profile and institutional details
| Detail | Why does it matter? |
|---|---|
| Preferred language | The language preference recorded for your account. You can select the website language separately; account email translations are available in English, Hungarian and German. |
| Country | Determines which institutions can be selected. |
| University | One of the key details used to link partner and institutional content. |
| Faculty | Enables the use of a question set tailored by your partner institution. |
| Missing institution | Enter the official name here if your country, university or faculty is not yet listed. |
- Country, university and faculty are selected from linked lists.
- If no university is yet listed for your selected country, enter the missing institution's official name in the notes field.
- Select only a faculty belonging to the chosen university. If your institution or faculty is missing, use the field for reporting a missing institution.
- Update your profile if you notice a typo or change institutions. Some details may be fixed when a partner institution registers users in bulk.
Enter your institutional student identifier, such as a Neptun code, in the designated field when the form or teaching session requests it. Institutional profile details alone do not grant educator permissions.
4. Language selection and translations
The system's language range includes English, Hungarian, German, Romanian and French. The content actually available in the language selector and learning materials depends on publication and completed translations. English is the fallback for missing interface translations; this does not mean that every question is automatically available in every language.
| Language | Role in the system |
|---|---|
| English | The website's default language and the fallback for missing interface translations. |
| Hungarian | The primary source language for educational questions and the reference for checking translations. |
| German | An available target language for interface and question translations. |
| Romanian | An additional translation target language; the completeness of content and account emails must be checked separately. |
| French | An additional translation target language; the completeness of content and account emails must be checked separately. |
Change languages using the website's language selector. When joining a teaching session by QR code, the participant page may open in the language configured for that session. Changing the participant page's language preserves your access token. Do not manually remove identifiers from the link or clear browser session data while participating.
5. Practising questions
You receive questions from the selected topic or chapter, answer them individually and receive immediate feedback and an explanation where available. At the end of a set containing several questions, a summary shows the number and percentage of correct answers.
- Select the topic or chapter you want to practise.
- Start the appropriate question type or a mixed practice set.
- Select your answer and submit it.
- Read the feedback and any explanation provided.
- Move to the next question and view the summary at the end of the set.
- Practice progress can be saved; where supported, you can continue from the same point after refreshing the page.
- Some questions include an image or diagram. This does not change the answering rules for that question type.
Chapter pages may also show learning materials, related diagrams and available supplementary content. You must log in to access the practice block. If there are not enough questions or suitable translations, practice is not yet displayed; this alone is not a technical fault. Supported SVG diagrams with translatable labels retain the original English label where its translation is missing.
6. Current question types
| Question type | How it works |
|---|---|
| True or false | Decide whether a statement is true or false. |
| Multiple choice | Select all correct answers from at least three options, then submit using the answer button. At least one answer is correct, but all of them may be correct. Only the complete correct set of answers counts as a correct solution. |
| Single choice | Select one correct answer from several options. |
| Four-way association | Choose A, B, both or neither. |
| Mixed practice set | A set drawn from the four basic question types. The shorter automatically generated chapter practice contains 10 questions: 4 true or false, 2 four-way association, 2 single choice and 2 multiple choice. The longer version contains 15: 5 true or false, 4 four-way association, 3 single choice and 3 multiple choice. Other practice sets may have a different composition. |
Case studies
Published case studies consist of a longer case description and sequential steps that build on one another. Read the case and answer in the specified order. Previously submitted answers cannot be changed afterwards, but you can review the steps. Attempt limits and the conditions for the result are determined by the task settings. Questions assigned to a case are not mixed into regular chapter practice.
Viginti: joining an educator's question session
- Open the participant link provided by your educator or scan the QR code. Enter the identifiers requested on the page.
- When your educator starts a question, load it using the Refresh status button. In the current mode, new questions do not appear automatically.
- Select your answer and submit it within the time allowed.
- Once the question has been closed or time has run out, you can no longer submit an answer. Use the Refresh status button again to load the next question.
Recording attendance
Use the link or QR code for the attendance session and enter the requested student identifier. The token is needed to access and identify the session; it does not mean that attendance requirements have been met. If the session is linked to a Viginti question set, you must also meet the educator's requirements for answered and correct questions. Saving your identifier alone does not meet these conditions. Check the feedback displayed on the page and contact your educator if there is a discrepancy.
7. Filtered question banks for partner institutions
Partner institutions can tailor a question set from Pharm.academy's central question bank to the teaching needs of each faculty. This works automatically for students: if your profile contains the correct university and faculty, the system takes that faculty's settings into account during practice.
What does filtering mean for you?
- A partner educator can make a question inactive for a particular faculty without deleting it from the central question bank.
- An inactive question is not assigned to students of that faculty, but may remain available to other institutions.
- The setting applies to the question regardless of language: disabling a question covers all its language versions.
- You do not need to enable a separate filter; the system applies the appropriate set based on your institutional profile details.
What are the benefits?
- The shared academic question bank is retained, while questions less relevant to the local curriculum can be filtered out.
- The same underlying database can serve different teaching priorities across institutions and faculties.
- Student feedback and question suggestions help improve and expand the question bank continuously.
8. Reporting errors and sending feedback
You can send feedback on practice questions that have a feedback panel. The report is linked to that question, making it more precise than a general email.
What problems can you report?
- an incorrect solution or explanation;
- a typo, incomplete wording or an ambiguous formulation;
- a technical display or functionality problem;
- a missing or incorrect image or diagram, or a suggestion for a useful one;
- other academic or development feedback.
How to submit feedback
- Open the feedback panel below the question.
- Select at least one category describing the problem.
- Briefly and accurately describe what you observed and what you suggest.
- Submit your report; you can review it later in your Previous feedback list.
9. Submitting your own question suggestions
You can suggest questions in all four basic question types using the submission interface. Submissions await review and are not added automatically to the central question bank.
Common workflow
- Use the shared topic selector to choose the subject or content unit to which your question belongs.
- Select the true or false, single choice, four-way association or multiple choice panel.
- Complete the required fields, mark the correct solution and add an explanation or comment where appropriate.
- Submit your suggestion, then check it in your Submitted questions list.
| Type | Required content | Additional content |
|---|---|---|
| True or false | Statement and its true or false solution | Optional comment |
| Single choice | Question, 2–10 answer options and one correct answer | General and answer-specific comments |
| Four-way association | Question, options A/1 and B/2, and the solution A/B/both/neither | Optional comment |
| Multiple choice | Question text, at least 3 answer options and all correct answers marked. | Explanation and any additional associations available in the form. |
- If an image or diagram is needed, describe in the comment what visual element would help explain the question.
- The topic selector may also filter your Submitted questions and Previous feedback lists.
- Your lists may show the date, type, topic, status, a brief description and any reviewer feedback.
10. Submission status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | The submission has been received, but processing has not yet started. |
| Reviewed | An authorised staff member has examined the submission. |
| Accepted | The content has been judged academically suitable; publication may be a separate step. |
| Rejected | The submission will not be used in its current form. |
| Processed | The feedback or question suggestion has been fully handled. |
11. Account, legal documents and data handling
- Registration requires acceptance of the current Terms of Use and confirmation that you have read the Privacy Notice.
- Updated documents may require renewed acceptance.
- Self-service account deletion is not currently available because learning and submission records may be linked to the account; contact support to request deletion.
- Requests for a copy of your personal data should also be made through the support channel.
Cookie settings and visitor statistics
Use the Complianz consent interface to choose whether to allow optional statistical cookies. Necessary cookies support login and the site's basic functions. You can change your choice later using the consent management option in the footer. The Terms of Use, Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy are also accessible from the footer.
Google Analytics 4 may load only after statistical consent, for visitors to public pages who are not logged in. Logged-in users and token-based and private operational pages are excluded from measurement. Statistical consent is not required to register or practise. Google Tag Manager and AdSense are not currently enabled.
Caching and personal pages
WP Super Cache helps public pages load faster. Personal and token-based operational pages must not be stored in a shared page cache. If you see old public content, refresh the page first. Do not clear cookies or session data during an active question set or attendance session.
12. Common problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The activation email does not arrive. | Check your Spam folder and email address, then request a new activation message. |
| An English label appears. | The translation for the selected language is probably missing; note the page and the exact label. |
| I cannot find my institution. | Enter its official name in the notes field for missing institutions. |
| No question appears. | Check the topic, question type and language; there may not yet be an active or translated question for the selected section. |
| The network connection was interrupted. | Try again, then refresh the page. For a saved practice set, the system may continue from the previous state. |
| I cannot send an error report or question. | Check that you are logged in, all required fields are complete and whether an exact error message is displayed. |
13. Safe use
- Use a strong, unique password and do not share it with anyone.
- Always log out after using a shared device.
- Do not include passwords, activation tokens or other access secrets in error reports.
- Share screenshots containing personal data only through a secure support channel.
14. Quick checklist
- ☐ My account is active and I can log in.
- ☐ My country, university and faculty details are correct.
- ☐ I am using the website in the language I want.
- ☐ I can start a question set and view my results at the end.
- ☐ I know how to send feedback on a question.
